The motor is matched with 1.5MW variable speed doubly-fed wind turbine, adopting mature technology for more than ten years and verified by more than a thousand units operation, with the advantage of high reliability. The motor is installed in the nacelle, the rotor shaft at the drive end is linked to the gearbox through a coupling to receive mechanical power, the stator is connected to the grid, and the rotor is connected to the grid through a four-quadrant converter. It can be operated within a speed range of +/-36.5% of the synchronous speed to achieve the conversion of mechanical energy into electrical energy.
